HPU330 Medical Assessment Unit is provided as an addendum to HPU340 Inpatient Accommodation Unit. Medical Assessment Units are provided to manage selected patients for assessment and treatment for a designated period prior to transfer to inpatient units or discharged home.

An updated revision of HPU330 Medical Assessment Unit (Revision 2, 1 March 2016) has been uploaded. This revision reflects only minor changes that have been necessary to ensure consistency across all documents. Changes include:

  • reformatting of the SoA include codes and a uniform naming convention
  • a new simplified numbering system to replace existing clause codes
